Gartcraig bricks found at Miramici, New Brunswick, Canada

Gartcraig bricks were found by Bill Donald on the shore of the Miramichi River at Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada.

Bill states “The shore of the river is covered with these old bricks near the site of an old sawmill, but most are broken or with only partial names. It was hard to find any with a full name on them. A lot of timber was shipped out of here to Scotland and other countries during the eighteen hundreds as the timber companies were mainly run by Scottish Companies and Scottish Lumber Barons.”
