This may possibly have been manufactured by James Dougall for the Coppee Coke Co. A similar firebrick was, however, found at the Heathfield Fire Clay Works and therefore Heathfield could be the manufacturer? – click me

The Coppee oven, with vertical flues in the oven walls, these ovens being built narrow, long and high. By 1861 the Coppee coke oven of Belgian invention was in use on the Continent, and in 1873-74 it was introduced into England. It had vertical flues and was of the non-recovery type.

Found by Reuben Bartolo in a fireplace in Mosta, Malta. Reuben states – The building itself is from the 1500s, I would guess the fireplace is around 1950s. The bricks were between the limestone blocks, behind the fireplace itself.
