Found by Ian Suddaby in Haymarket, Edinburgh – on the site of the old railway yards, later Bruce Lindsay Waldie Coal Yard.
Curved brick for possible use in a railway setting – air shaft etc?
It looks like an engineering brick .
It is unlikely they were used in tunnel construction as the tunnels were lined longitudinally and not in rings.
