Found Gartliston Works, Glenboig.
Unidentified maker but most likely a Hurll product.
It contains the same dark flecks ( iron?) in its composition as many Hurll, Klinit, Dourie marked bricks.
I will record this as a Hurll unless evidence comes to light to suggest otherwise.

This brick was found in St Petersburg, Russia by Vladimir Smirnov. The manufacturer is unknown. The ‘look’ and fabric of the brick does suggest Scottish origins but … In particular, the brick has a ‘look’ of a P & M Hurll, Glenboig product.
